Liquid liquid extraction

Liquid-liquid extraction, also known under the name of solvent extraction or partitioning extraction, is a method to separate compounds based on their relative solubility in two various nonmiscible liquids, usually water and an organic solvent. It is an extraction of a substance of a liquid phase in another liquid phase or mass transfer between two liquid phases not or partially miscible.

Discover our techniques, methods and measurements in the liquid liquid extraction process. Processium has a column for liquid liquid extraction to carry out validation tests in its laboratory.

Our expertise in physical property measurement enables us to determine partition coefficients or to find the best extraction solvents for a given compound. The means of Processium in modelling and in experimental techniques thus allow us to cover the whole of the needs concerning the liquid liquid extraction unit operation.
