PROCESSIUM thanked all participants of the symposium "Thermo-physicals data: acquisitions, processing and use of banks”, June 18th, 2010.
Development of processes, or the search for substitutes requires many thermophysical experimental data manipulation. If a large number of databases exist, accessible data are often of very varying qualities, either unavailable or even non-existent in the area of pressure-temperature-composition for existing applications.
Through this day, we propose a thought on the current data availability, their validation and how they are used. Examples of applications are mentioned, or the development of models (regressions or validations), either for establishing reverse tools (QSAR - QSPR) to identify products meeting the most searched properties criteria.
